Jeffersonville Carnegie Library Foundation Inc.
The foundation owns a well-restored Carnegie library in Jeffersonville. In 2009, the building’s chief tenant began saying publicly that they intended to leave the building. I assisted the Foundation’s board of directors with a public relations strategy that included writing a press release to tell our side early, and then followed up with a local newspaper column explaining where the relationship had gone wrong published in the area’s largest newspaper. The Foundation quickly gained ground in the war of public opinion and are now working towards finding a new tenant. I have worked with the Foundation since 2006, but had a more formal role during 2009.
