Taking a comprehensive, high-level view of a client’s impact is the best way to start work. Here are a few examples of clients I’ve assisted.
Theological Education Fund at the Presbyterian Foundation
I worked with the Senior Director of Funds Development to focus the central message and mission of the organization and articulate that in all materials. From Fall 2016 to present, we’ve accomplished the following:
- New logo, colors and design to reflect the Theological Education Fund’s ties to the Presbyterian Foundation.
- Preparation of a “case for support” document that gives facts and figures and helps bolster the case for supporting theological education.
- Creation of a blog for the Senior Director of Funds Development.
- Social media strategy and execution, including a Facebook page, group and Twitter account to help tell the story of theological education in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).
- Placement of stories in Presbyterian News Service and other similar outlets to help connect the Theological Education Fund with the larger Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).
- Advertising campaign in Presbyterian magazines that highlights the work of the Theological Education Fund.
- Creation of materials for distribution during Theological Education Sunday, which is set for each September.
- Extensive video work, including a series of 1-minute, captioned videos for social media that helps showcase young pastors in the church who have been supported by the Theological Education Fund.
English, Lucas, Priest and Owsley, LLP Law firm in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
I have worked with the firm since 2008. My biggest observation was that the firm had a strong reputation for doing terrific community service work, but it was not telling that story through any of its communications outlets. I helped the firm create a positive impression in its hometown through a variety of means.
This work has included:
- New logo, colors and style for the firm to create a warmer feel for the firm.
- Guiding web site rebuild project, and then a refresh of the same web site a few years later.
- Maintenance of a blog for the personal injury attorneys, and a second blog for other attorneys in the firm.
- Creation of social media accounts for the firm, including a Facebook page and Twitter account.
- Assisting individual attorneys with presentations that reflect the brand and style of the firm.
- Responding to RFPs for the firm when asked to do so, keeping the same messaging and impression of the firm throughout all materials.
- Press releases to local media as needed.
- Overseeing events in the local community to boost the profile of the firm.
- Assisting individual attorneys as needed, including one-on-one consulting on building a social media presence.
- Assistance with building and maintaining profiles on Avvo, a lawyer ranking site; have worked extensively with attorneys to raise their rankings.
- Claiming and maintaining Google Maps pages for individual attorneys as needed.
